Eleanor I. Andorfer, 85

Eleanor I. Andorfer, 85, of Alpha Dr. Wampum died on  Monday, February 6, 2012 at Jameson Memorial Hospital following a short  illness.

Born July 25, 1926 in Clinton, she was the daughter of the late Ira W.  and Irene Hoffman Hackett.

Eleanor was a home care nurse until 2005.  She enjoyed bowling, traveling, and crossword puzzles.  Her most cherished time was spent with family.

Survivors include 2 daughters – Sandy (Tom) Capitola of New Castle, Bonnie (Charles H. Jr.) Monsour of Clayton, NC; 2 sisters – Betty (DeWayne) Armstrong of New Galilee, Evelyn Swogger of Wampum; brother – Kenneth Hackett of Koppel; 4 grandchildren  and  5 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Maxwell C. Andorfer, daughter, Cindy in infancy; sister – Shirley Drotleff; and 2 brothers – Harold “Red” and Charles Hackett.

Visiting hours will be held on  Thursday February 9, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum.

Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, February 10, 2012 at 11:00 am with Rev. Teresa Kendall officiating.

Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
