Christy A. Walton, 40, of E. Moody Ave. New Castle died unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at her home following complications from an earlier surgery.
Born September 29, 1971 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Richard T. Walton and Kathy J. Kissick Walton Kuntz of Ellwood City.
Christy graduated from Lawrence County Vo Tech School in 1990. She was formerly employed at Walton Financial Services in Ellwood City. She also drove school bus for Laidlaw’s in New Castle. Christy was affiliated with the Christ Presbyterian Church in Ellwood City. She enjoyed crafts and her dogs.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather – Kathy and Dave Kuntz of Ellwood City; two sisters – Kelly (Jay ) Hawk of Clarington, PA, Kimberly (Jason ) Allwine of Ellwood City; a nephew – Tim Walton of Beaver Falls; and a niece – Jadyn Allwine of Ellwood City.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Joanne Kissick, and Richard and Eunice Walton.
The family will receive friends from 3 pm until the time of the memorial service at 5 pm today, June 7 at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Pastor Jim O’ hara of the Castlewood Christian Missionary Alliance Church will officiate.
Memorial Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or to an Animal Shelter of the donor’s choice.

Rest peacefully, my dear friend. I’ll always cherish the memories we made together. You were a wonderful person, with a heart bigger than the sky. I love you. We will see each other again someday.
