George M. Haklo, 61

George M. Haklo, 61, of Pittsburgh Circle, Ellwood City died unexpectedly on  Monday, September 24, 2012 at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born October 29, 1950 in Beaver Falls, he was the son of the late George M. and Albina Fusco Haklo Sr.  He was married for 23 years to Jennifer  McKenzie Haklo who survives.

George worked as a structural mechanic and then before his retirement in management for Boeing.  He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandson, Shaun.

In addition to his wife, Jennifer, survivors include a son, Shaun (Melissa Rhodes) Haklo Sr. of Midland; daughter, Melony R. Mondry of WA; grandson, Shaun Haklo Jr.; sister, Janet Laws of DE; brother in law, James McKenzie of WA; and a niece, Andrea Laws of DE.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday September 28, 2012 from 9 until  the time of the Blessing service at 11 am at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.   Rev. Father Mark Thomas will officiate.

Private interment will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Beaver Falls.

Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

  3. I share in your sorrow and George will be missed by our son. George has captured the heart of our grandson and daughter in in law Melissa. He will be miss by all who have had the privilege tp be apart of his life.. I know he is home with his Mom and Dad and Albina is smiling,… I carry lifelong memories of my sons Father, George Haklo… You will be missed and mourned…
