Daisy J. Haines, 71

Daisy Jean Haines, 71, of  Linwood Dr., Ellwood City (North Sewickley Twp.)  died  Thursday, March 28, 2013 at  St. Anthony Hospital in Indiana.  Although in ill health death was unexpected.

Born October 27, 1941 in Beaver Falls, she was the daughter of the late Wetzel L. and Gladys Marie Stoops Murphy.

She was married to the late John H. Stillwagon and then to the late Thomas E. Haines who died October 27, 2004.

Daisy worked as a Nurses Aid at Passavant Retirement Center in Zelienople for six years.  She then worked at Highland Hall for six years.  She was a former member of Park Gate Baptist Church.  She was also a former member of the Moose and SOI Clubs in Ellwood City.

Survivors include two sons, Jack (Flo) Stillwagon of Harrisburg, Thomas S. Haines of Ellwood City; two daughters, Jessica Lynn (Scott) Shaffer of Cedar Lake, Indiana, Rosanna Marie Wagoner of Beaver Falls; sister, Frances (Ralph) Evans of Ellwood City; two brothers,  Wetzel L. (Barb) Murphy Jr. of Portersville, Ronald John Murphy of West Virginia; nine grandchildren, Marilynn and Isabella Wagoner, Thomas J. Haines, Rachel and Danielle Stillwagon, Lisa Mackey, April Hicks, Michelle Lutz, and Jack Weiss; and eight great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles Stillwagon and a sister, Barbara Ann Olinger-Blashak.

Visiting hours will be held on  Monday, April1,2013  from 2-4 and 6 until the time of the funeral service at 8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.

Rev. Ed Hanley of the New Galilee Church of the Nazarene will officiate.

Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.

  1. Mamma…..I can not believe your gone. I hear you in your room and all threw the house. I even look to see where you are at and I look twice at your bed, thinking you are there but your not….I know your are with me, I can feel it in my heart….Mamma, I love you and miss you, Mamma!
