Mary Alice Kelly, 85, of Chewton passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Northview Estates following a lengthy illness.
Born July 22, 1927 in Harmony, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Dorothy Shever Wehr. She was married for 52 years to David M. Kelly Sr. who passed away August 28, 1997.
Mary Alice was a lifelong member of the Chewton Christian Church. She was a member of the Wimodausis Society, the Order of the Eastern Star # 121, the Order of Rainbow Girls # 18 where she served on the Board, and the Ellwood City Rainbow Council. She was also a member of the New Castle and the Ellwood City Historical Societies and the PA Farm Bureau.
Survivors include two sons, David (Mary) Kelly Jr. of Youngstown, Ohio, Tom (Erin) Kelly of Chewton; four daughters, Judy (Ed) Berendt of Ellwood City, Sandra (Pat) Hennon of Ellwood City, Cathy (Ken) Ketterer of Wayne Twp., Tammy (Mark) Mazzant of Ellwood City; sister, Lois Chappell of Florida; two brothers, Roy (Ann) Wehr of Florida, Bob Wehr of Portersville; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday March 8 from 2-4 and -7-9 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum. There will be an Order of the Eastern Star Service at 7 pm. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00 am with Pastor Dick Allen officiating.
Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
