Darlene C. Burton, 70, formerly of Ellwood City passed away on Friday, May 17, 2013 at the Overlook Health Care Center following a brief illness.
Born July 29, 1942 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Clarence K. and Madeline Deitrick Kennedy.
Darlene graduated from Lincoln High School. A devoted Christian, her faith was very important to her.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Burton of Ellwood City, John (Jarae) Burton of Phoenix, Arizona; brother, Robert (Connie) Kennedy of Mt. Jackson; six sisters, Carolyn (Bob) Moore of New Castle, Karen (Milton) Ippolito and Linda (Oval) Moore, all of Wampum, Kathy (Jack) Fleckenstein of Mercer, Cheryl Kuhn of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Brenda (Blair) Getz of Monaca; and a granddaughter, Abigail Burton.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Grekon and a brother, Kenneth Kennedy.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday May 20, 2013 from 4 until the time of the funeral service at 7 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum. Rev. Dr. William R. McGary of the Wampum Presbyterian Church will officiate.
Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.

Mom – I will love you forever and always – you are truly in my heart. Your spirit will live on within your very beautiful granddaughter Abigail Grayce Burton.
