Charles W. Fox, 86

Charles W. Fox, 86, of Portersville Rd., Ellwood City (Perry Twp.) died on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at his residence.

Born October 13, 1927 in Wurtemburg, PA, he was the son of the late Leo O. and Caroline F. Hartzell Fox. He was married for 50 years to Nancy Rutter Fox who passed away January 7, 2006.

Charles graduated from Lincoln High School. He owned and operated Fox’s Auto Body originally located on Beaver Ave. and then on Portersville Rd. Mr. Fox had attended the Park Alliance Church and the Free Methodist Church. Most recently he attended the New Castle Bible Church. Charles was a Veteran of the Air Force, stationed mostly in Washington State. He was an avid motorcyclist, having taken his last joyous ride on October 13. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include a sister, Betty L. Wright of Ellwood City; niece, Kathy (Bruno Lorusso) Wright of New Castle; nephew, Charles (Pamela) Wright of Ellwood City; and many special neighbors and friends.

In addition to his beloved wife, Nancy, he was preceded in death by a brother, William L. Fox.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.

Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 am with Rev Max Bungard and Rev. Forrest States officiating.

Interment will follow in Wurtemburg Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

  1. Farewell good friend until we meet again. You ran the good race and are now enjoying your heavenly rewards. You and Nancy were very special and you both lived what you believed. God bless and thanks for being such an excellent role model.
