Ralph S. Barber, 68

Ralph S. Barber, 68, of East Palestine Rd., Darlington died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 28, 2014.

Born May 26, 1945 in Wampum, he was the son of the late Charles J.and Gertrude Shugar Barber Sr.

Ralph formerly worked at Babcock & Wilcox. He then worked at Donahue Railroad in Darlington. He currently was employed at Precision Fasteners Specialties. Ralph was affiliated with the Wampum United Methodist Church. He was a Veteran of Marines, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 749 in Wampum and was a 32 Degree Mason.

Survivors include his companion of 28 years, Michele Jansto; four children, Judy, Ralph Ericka and Jameson; brother, Chuck (Eileen) Barber; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jane McNicholas.

Friends will be received on Saturday, February 1 from 1:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 2:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, Main St. Wampum. Rev. Todd Davis of the Wampum United Methodist Church will officiate. Military service will be conducted by the Veterans Honor Guard.
