Phyllis Lasko, 71 of Glenkirk Road, New Beaver Borough, went peacefully into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on February 22, 2014 surrounded by her beloved family.
Phyllis was born December 13, 1942, in Beaver Falls. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Rachel Billman Javens.
She married Peter A Lasko on Feb 18, 1962. They celebrated their 52nd anniversary. Phyllis was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Beaver Falls.
Phyllis was a graduate of Beaver Falls High School and Garfield Business Institute. She retired from Heraeus Co, the former Leeds and Northrop Co in Ellwood City. She had a great love for her family and enjoyed her grandchildren to the fullest.
In addition to her husband Pete, Phyllis is survived by a daughter and son in law Sharon and Scott Macri of New Beaver Borough, a son and daughter in law Brian and Crystal Lasko of Portersville, seven grandchildren, Devin (Gena), Brandon, and Madison Macri, Adeline, Abigail, Zachary, and Evelyn Lasko. Also surviving are two sisters, Nancy (Jack) Fenchel, and Karen (Ed) Speelman both of Beaver Falls, three brothers, Robert and Roger of Beaver Falls, and Gary (Grace) Javens of Silver Springs MD.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister and brother in law Kay and Bob Williams and sisters in law Virginia Javens and Peggy Javens
Visitation will be Tuesday February 25, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m at the Marshall Funeral Home Wampum, where funeral services will be offered on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Her pastor, Rev. Steve Bratzman will officiate. Interment will follow at Clinton Cemetery.
