William J. Livingston, 65

William J. Livingston Sr., 65, of Park Ave., Ellwood City died on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at the Ellwood City Hospital. Although in ill health, death was unexpected.

Born July 10, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late Harold Livingston and Mary Thody Livingston Wardman.

He was married for 44 years to Patricia Smith Livingston as they were married on July 12, 1969. She survives

Bill was an advertising salesman for the Cranberry Review Journal. He also worked as a driver for SOS Taxi Service in Beaver. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Church and their Holy Name Society. He was also a member and chaplain for the Knights of Columbus of the Beaver Falls Council. Bill formerly coached baseball and soccer.

In addition to his wife, Patricia, survivors include four daughters, Mary (Don) Farrier of Florida, Carol Bove of Ellwood City, Tamara (Gary) Rodgers of New Castle, Karen (Frank) Gidaro of Ellwood City; and a son, B.J. (Jen) Livingston of California; and eleven grandchildren, Megan Farrier, Louis Jr, Anthony, Brittany, and Giovanni Bove, Gary III and Zack Rodgers, Kirstin and Dante Gidaro, and Noah and Adah Livingston.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and a step father, Ted Wardman.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday April 7 from 5 – 8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10 am at Holy Redeemer Church. Interment will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.

  1. Patty, so sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. You have my deepest sympathy. I know what your going through and hang in there, time doesn’t heal but what we do with the time does. You had 44 years with Bill as I did with DeWayne and we both have memories that will last forever.
    May God comfort you and your family at this time.
