Dale G. Kelly, 76, of Moravia, Pa. formerly of Big Beaver Pa, passed away on April 23, 2017.
Dale was a loved father, grandfather, husband, brother, and member of the community.
Dale was the son of Joseph A. and Marie Clark Kelly. Born in Moravia, Pa on April 6, 1941, and moved to New Beaver as a child, attending Glen Kirk and New Port schools. He graduated with the class of 1959 from Wampum High School.
Dale married Glenda L. Hennon on December 2, 1961. In addition to owning Kelly’s Sales and Service Station in Beaver Falls, he worked at B & W as a crane operator and millwright supervisor. He also worked at Nationwide Fork Truck in Hollywood, Florida. But the work that brought Dale real joy was with his tools and woodworking, which could be found in everything from picture frames to kitchen cabinets.
His lifelong community commitment includes serving on Big Beaver Council for many years, his membership in Meridian F & A M Lodge in Enon Valley, PA and in the Valley of New Castle Consistory, New Castle, PA.
He is survived by his wife Glenda L. Kelly, two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard D. and Jennifer Pesci-Kelly, (Pittsburgh), William T. and Wanda Kelly (Willow Springs NC); one daughter, Janet L. Kelly (Wampum, PA); four grandchildren (who all called him Pap), Kaitlyn and Kelli Heeter, Grace A. Kelly and Luke Kelly; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Pat Kelly (Fordland, MO), Carl and Janice Kelly (New Beaver, PA); two sisters and brothers-in-law, Carol and James Shelenberger, (Henderson, NC), Ruth and David Peterson (Fort Myers, FL), sister, Nora Bell Howard (Duncanon, PA) and sister-in-law Norma Kelly (Ellwood City, PA), along with many nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, David G. Kelly in 1963, his grandson Adam T. Kelly in 2004, brother Vernon T. Kelly, sister Alice Kelly and brothers-in-law Clarke E. Howard, Jr., Dr. Charles B. Hennon and Frank Dick Allen and sister-in-law, Nora Hennon Allen.
Friends and family will be received on Thursday at the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum from 3 pm until the time of the funeral service at 6 pm. Rev. Mike Wimer will officiate. Interment will take place at Grandview Cemetery.
