Vicki Jo Stelter, 66

Vicki Jo Stelter, 66, of New Beaver Boro passed away unexpectedly at a friend’s home in Ohio on Wednesday, December 20, 2017.

Born May 31, 1951 in New Brighton, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Elizabeth Plassmeyer Smith. She was married to Ray Stelter who died March 7, 1999.

Vicki graduated from Mohawk High School. She drove for Swift Trucking Company and was a member of the New Beaver Volunteer Fire Department. Vicki helped with holiday dinners at the Clinton United Methodist Church. She enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include four sisters, Gaylan (Jim) Murphy, Tammy (Jamie) Burchfield, and Heidi Sullivan, all of New Galilee, Guyla (Joyce) Smith of Waco, TX; one brother, Kelly (Judy) Smith of Pulaski; and a number of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday December 23 from 2-4 and 6 until the time of the funeral service at 8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum. Rev. Duane Herron of the Enon Valley Presbyterian Church will officiate.  Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to New Beaver Volunteer Fire Department.

  1. Vicki is my Dad’s first Cousin, but they were as close as siblings. Praying for our family, her friends, and all who knew her. Loved her honesty and down to earth ways. Also her stories about growing up with my Dad and Uncles. She would help my Dad drive to Indiana and bring me and my kids to Pennsylvania to visit as I don’t drive.All around great lady.

  3. Our family was saddened when we learned of Vicki Jo’s passing. There will be an empty chair at the table but there will be a lot of wonderful memories of Vicki Jo to help you through this hard time. I know that I have lots of good memories of her when she was a young girl. Please know that all of you have our sympathy. May she rest in peace.

  4. To Vicki’s family. Sorry for the loss of your loved one. I was just reading Marshall’s obituary list and saw her obituary. We didn’t know she had died. We will miss her as you all will. We loved her. She was a very kind loving person. Sincerely, Bob and Thelma Walker
