Dennis “Denny” R. Young, 66

Dennis “Denny” R Young, 66, of Ellwood City passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Allegheny General Hospital following a short illness.

Born September 22, 1951. Denny graduated from Lincoln High School in 1970. He retired from Billco Manufacturing in Zelienople. Denny enjoyed golfing, working on home construction projects, and restoring houses.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Kathy Fennell Young; his father, Charles A. Young Jr. (Betty Jo); his mother, Nola Hazen Mainwaring, both of Ellwood City; two sons, Ryan (Malinda) Young of Harlansburg, PA, Byron (Lital) Young of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Susan Pamela Miller of Portage, IN, Mary Elizabeth (Rick) Shallenberger of Ellwood City; two brothers, Chuck (Donna) Young of Allentown, PA, Timothy H. Young of Ellwood City; and four grandchildren, Kayla Elizabeth, Lilian Virginia, Asher Albeiro, and Anaya Maria Young.

He was preceded in death by his step father, Morris Mainwaring; and a brother in law, Bob Miller.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday January 25, from 2 pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 4 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave, Ellwood City with Rev. Forrest States officiating.

  1. Denny was a friend and co-worker through our many years at Billco. We exchanged emails since retirement. He was always so upbeat, I will miss him. Kathy, I am so sorry for your and your family’s loss. Rest in piece, friend.

  3. Rich & I were so sorry to hear that Denny passed away. He was such a bright light – working with him at Billco many years ago & I also considered him and Kathy friends. So sorry Kathy & boys, to know you are in pain but I know you will cherish his memory always.
