Robert J. Tomko Sr., 83, of West Pittsburg passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 at his residence following a short illness.
Born July 19, 1934 in Struthers, Ohio, he was the son of the late Joseph and Cecelia Baron Tomko. He was married to Patricia Mahon Tomko for 59 years. She survives.
Robert retired from Youngstown Sheet and Tube where he was a carpenter. He graduated from Struthers High School and was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Parish. Robert was a lifetime member of the Croatian Club in West Pittsburg. He enjoyed hunting, yard work, and watching sports on TV. His most cherished time was spent with family.
In addition to his wife, Pat, survivors include two daughters, Cindy (Gary) Trimble of New Castle, Deborah (Tom Jackson) Welsh of Shenango Twp.; two sons, Robert J. Tomko Jr. and Timothy (Angela) Tomko Sr., both of Shenango Twp.; sister, Delores Cina; brother, Joseph “Butch” Tomko; six grandchildren, Brandon (Christeena) Taylor, Joey Lynn Tomko, Erica (Mike) Roberman, Timothy (Erica) Tomko Jr., Leah Trimble, and Sara Tomko; and one great grandchild, Mila Roberman.
Friends will be received on Wednesday May 16 from 4 pm until the time of the Blessing Service at 7 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum. Online condolences may be sent to marshallsfh.com.
