Stephenie A. Freed, 51

Stephenie A. Freed, 51, of Fredonia, passed away Friday, June 1, 2018, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital following a short illness.

Born October 4, 1966, in Franklin, Pa., she was the daughter of Stephen J. and Anna Mae Cook Rogers. She was married to David Freed, he survives.

Stephenie was a member of the Western PA Dairy Goat Association. A published author, she wrote two books, “When Buddy Sings” and “Lady in the Lane.” Her most cherished time was spent with her children and family.

Survivors include five daughters, Teala and Sabrena Freed of Grove City, Sara-Anne, Ashlee L., Caya-Dawn; a son, Sean-Michael Freed, all of Fredonia; two sisters, Stacy (David) Waters of Washington, Pa., and Shannon Rodgers of Ky.

Friends will be received on Thursday June 7, 2018, from 12 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 1 p.m. at the MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME, 341 Main Street, Wampum, with Rev. Todd Davis officiating.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Leukemia Society.

Although many years have passed since I last saw my cousin, Stephenie, I will always remember her as a kind, loving, creative and intelligent soul. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. God Bless you all.

  2. I am truly sorry for your loss. She loved her family above anything and anybody. Stephanie was my friend and I will miss her.
