Ethel M. Ritorto, 76, of Ellwood City passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born February 20, 1942 in Big Beaver Boro, she was the daughter of the late Robert E. “Nick” and Josephine Lechner Straley.
Ethel graduated from Beaver Falls High School. In 1959, she was named Mrs. Body Beautiful. Ethel was a member of the Victory Family Church in Cranberry. She was an avid flower gardener and painter. Ethel enjoyed puzzles and playing scrabble. Her most cherished time was spent with her family, especially with her grandchildren.
Survivors include three daughters, Roxanne (Tom) Mittica of Beaver Falls, Robin (Nino) Riccio of Ellwood City, Tiffany (David Guido) Kompa of Cranberry Twp.; two sons, Joseph (Sissy) Fallabel of Ellwood City, John (Noelle) Kompa of Jonesboro, Arkansas; four sisters, Judy (Joe) DeTullio of Ellwood City and Shirley Gisondi, both of Ellwood City, Dolly (Bob) Hackett of Wampum, Barbara (Dom) Gratter of Beaver Falls; two brothers, Melvin (Virginia) Straley of Wampum, Frederick (Nancy) Straley of Ellwood City; 14 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Dean Fallabel; three sisters, Roberta Barkay, Jean Izzo, Sandy Straley; and a brother, John Straley.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday September 18 from 4-7 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 am. Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
