Shirley Mae Shoaf, 77

Shirley Mae Shoaf, 77, of North Beaver Twp. passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at the Edison Manor following an extended illness.

Born March 6, 1942 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mabel Stimple Brunswick.

Shirley retired from the Overlook Medical Clinic where she was an LPN for over 50 years. She attended the former First Christian Church in New Castle. Shirley was an avid photographer and member of the New Wilmington Camera Club. She also enjoyed traveling.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Shoaf Sr; three sons, John (Anna) Shoaf of Temecula, CA, Donald (January) Shoaf Jr.of Coraopolis,, Marc (Missy) Shoaf of Koppel; brother, David (Sharon) Brunswick of New Castle; ten grandchildren, Marc (Holly), James, Brad, Madison, Jule and Rebekah, Laura, and Zachary Shoaf and Madi and Catie Glitsch; and one great-grandchild, Gwen Shoaf.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday April 6, 2019 from 11 am until the time of the memorial service at 1 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum. Pastor Zack Blair of Hill City Church will officiate. Final interment will take place in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.

  1. I have know Shirley about 60 years when we attended First Christian Church. We didn’t run in to each other very often, but have fond memories of when we did. She was a wonderful person and will be remembered by all who knew her. Sorry for your loss
