Ann Tweddell, 38

Ann (Fox) Tweddell, 38, of Ellwood City passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Heritage Valley Medical Center in Beaver following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born October 11, 1980 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of Gary and Lisa (Kimpel) Fox of Ellwood City. She was married to Joseph Tweddell for 15 years. They all survive.

Ann graduated from Lincoln High School in 1999. She also graduated from Geneva College with an Engineering Degree. She formerly worked as a Nuclear Engineer at the Beaver Valley Power Station. Currently she managed and was the engraver at Kimpel’s Jewelers in Ellwood City. Ann was a member of the Berean Presbyterian Church. She formerly taught Sunday School at the First United Methodist Church. Ann was very involved with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scout Troop #806 in Ellwood City. She enjoyed making cards and scrap booking. Ann had a big heart and was always eager to help others. Her most cherishing time was spent with family.

In addition to her parents and husband, survivors include a son, Evan Tweddell; brother, Alex (Hayley) Fox of Groton, CT; her in laws, Robb and Glynis Tweddell of Beaver Falls; her maternal grandparents, Bob and Peg Kimpel of Ellwood City; and sister in law, Jennifer (Derrin) Scoggins of New Brighton.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Eugene and Lillian Fox.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, May 8 from 4-8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.  Visitation will also be held on Thursday at the Berean Presbyterian Church from 10 am until the time of the funeral service at 11am. Her pastor, Rev. Bruce Gardner will officiate.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Berean Presbyterian Church or Club Hope of Ellwood City.

  1. Sincerest condolences to the Tweddell and Fox families. It is very apparent from the little Alex told me that she was an incredibly courageous woman and one to be admired. Although these days will be hard, celebrate the great woman she was and the mark she has left on all of you!

    I am so sorry for your loss. I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Ann in person but feel I know her through talking with Joe. I could tell the love and devotion he has for her. It is hard to find words to comfort someone in this time of need. Just know she is with God and will always be watching over you. My families thoughts and prayers are with yours.
