Mark Crofton, 66

Mark Kevin Crofton, 66, of Koppel passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Heritage Valley – Beaver.

Born September 30, 1954 in Akron, Ohio, he was the son of the late Joseph and Rella Stiles Crofton.

Survivors include brother, Paul (Donna) Crofton; sister Karen McCoy, three nieces, Jessica Crofton of Ellicott City, MD, Sarabeth McCoy of Sewickley; Paige Osier of Pittsburgh; and one nephew, Connor McCoy of Sewickley.

He was preceded in death by his brother Andrew Crofton.

Mark was the sole owner of Crofton Painting for the past 30 plus years.

Mark was an avid hunter; he never missed an opening day of deer hunting. He also enjoyed watching all kinds of sports on TV, especially the Steelers.

Mark liked to fly his ultra light airplane in the summer and fall. His biggest summertime passion was his back yard tomato garden.

Family will receive relatives & friends on Saturday November 7, 2020 from 2:00 until the time of the funeral service at 3:30 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Pastor Wesley Sherry of Park Alliance Church will officiate.

The family asks that visitors wear face masks and observe social distancing while in the funeral home.

  1. I grew up with Mark and his brother Paul. Mark was always a good friend growing up. RIP Mark, you will be greatly missed.

  2. I played a lot of Baseball with Mark. I was a Pitcher and he was my Catcher in Little League, Pony League, Colt League and into High School. Another Northside Friend that will be Truly Missed! God Bless Mark and the Family.

    I’ve been friends with Mark for over 20 years. I left him a message on his birthday. So sad to hear of his passing. Great guy and I will miss him.

  6. Paul and Suzie I love you guys and went to Mass this morning for Mark…..May Gods perpetual light shine on him and all our family who have gone home. I remember and miss the family reunions at Ewing park….but that is why our Parents (and Debbie today) went through the trouble to have them (to make those memories) At Mass that is what I reflected on! …..My Dad, Gerri and CJ’s prayers are with you both. Tough year for the Stiles people.
    Covid is keeping us cautious with Dad and my Mother-in law but we will honor Mark and give to the American Cancer Society….Love you guys Casimier
