Marjorie M. Buchanan, 94, of Wampum passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Avalon Place following an extended illness.
Born February 21, 1926 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late John N. and Verna Fairbanks Knight. She was married to the late Wendell J. Buchanan who passed on October 9, 1970.
Marjorie was a an active member of First Assembly of God Church in New Castle. She retired from K-Mart after 30 years of service as a cashier. Marjorie enjoyed traveling with her sisters to Florida for the strawberry festival. She liked country and gospel music.
Survivors include son, James “Butch” (Connie) Buchanan of Ellwood City; two daughters, Iris (Gary) Revetti of Wampum, Mildred Stewart of New Castle; one sister, Diana Brown of Hillsville; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Bonnie Zook; two brothers, Joe and John “Muggs” Knight; and three sisters; Maude Daugherty, Betty Watters, and Grace Savioli.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday January 14, 2021 from 3:00 pm until the funeral service at 6:00 pm with Pastor John Kuert at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main Street, Wampum.
Interment will be held in Grandview Cemetery.

So sorry to hear the passing of Marge. She was always very nice to me and had great advice. I’ll always remember her vacations that she took to Florida and other places. She always told me about them. May she Rest In Peace.
