John W. Baker, 78

John W. Baker, 78, of Sewickley passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Allegheny General Hospital.

Born February 16, 1943 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Robert M. and Ruth M. McNabb Baker. He was married to Linda Jock Baker for 50 years.

John was a graduate of Lincoln High School in 1961. He continued his education at Grove City College. John was a veteran of the United States Army. He was an owner and partner of Windows on Washington in Northern Virginia before he returned to Sewickley. John enjoyed exercising and sports. He loved the Pirates. His most cherished moments were spent with family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Linda, two sons, Max (Heather) and John (Tonya) Baker both of Virginia; sister, Carol Baker of Ellwood City; six grandchildren, Hailey, Max, Lucas, William, Michael, and Skylar.

Visitation will be held on April 27 from 2:00 until 4:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, Ellwood City.

  1. Yati and I are very sorry to hear the news about John’s passing. He was a great guy, very down to earth, and loved by everyone. I always enjoyed talking to him at the office and outside of the office. Our prayers are with the Linda and the family.
