Linda L. McCready Willimet, 72

Linda L. McCready Willimet, 72, of Beaver Falls passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 at Allegheny General Hospital following a brief illness.

Born September 10, 1948 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late John I. and Edna M. Galbreath McCready Sr. She was married to Gilbert A. Willimet for 45 years. He died on June 12, 2015.

Linda was a retired employee from Beaver County Transit Authority. She enjoyed horses and spending time with her family. Her most special time was spent with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, Chris (Valerie) Willimet of Beaver Falls and Ryan (Christin) Willimet of White Township; daughter, Leigh Ann (Jule) McMichael of Reidsville NC; sister, Marie Kumrow of New Beaver; brother, John I. “Jack” (Peggy) McCready, Jr. of New Beaver; 8 grandchildren, Mikayla, Logan, Brendan, Liam, and Kara Willimet, and Kaleigh, Maddie, and Tess McMichael.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday April 22, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main Street, Wampum.

Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on April 23, 2021 at 11:00 am with Rev. John McCready officiating.

Interment will follow in White Church Cemetery.

  3. Lin, you were so precious to me. We had so many good times together, riding bikes-many epic rides all over, going to Elaine Powers, and just being together. I can picture you clearly coming to see Dad after working at Doc’s office. You were a wonderful mother and a beloved (step) mother. I will always love you and hold you in my heart. Rest easy.

    Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. No one can prepare you for a loss; It comes like a swift wind. You may take comfort knowing that Linda is now resting comforting in the arms of our Lord.

  5. Jack, Peggy and family…since leaving New Castle it’s difficult to keep up on friends from Calvary. So sad to see of Linda’s death. I remember many good times that our families shared. Please know that you in my thoughts and prayers.
