James Richard Wyse, 63

James Richard Wyse, 63 of Pittsburgh, PA., passed away unexpectedly on August 27, 2021.

He was born June 24, 1958, in Pittsburgh, PA, son of Thomas Joseph Wyse, Sr. and Coletta Philomena (Schmidt) Wyse of Pittsburgh.

Jim is survived by his life partner Rebecca Carpetta; daughters, Jennifer Braun, Sarah Wyse and Naomi Carpetta; son, Brian Kardell; sister, Beverly Bell; brothers, Joseph Wyse and Thomas Wyse, Jr.; grandchildren, Liam and Baelin Braun; son-in-law, Matthew Braun; brother-in-law, Bob Neft; and sister-in-laws, Rose and Virginia Wyse. Jim was preceded in death by his brothers Regis and John (Buck) Wyse.

Jim had an entrepreneurial spirit that drove him since he was a teen. He owned and operated Jim Wyse Builders. He was an avid golfer and loved outdoor activities of snow skiing, fishing and kayaking

He was known for his warm smile, always having a story to tell and for his easy-going, jovial, fun-loving spirit and easy laugh. Jim was always smiling and was quick to tease. He loved life and all who shared time with him.

His greatest love, however, was his family. He was fiercely committed to them and loved supporting, and spending time with them, traveling, attending sporting, musical and academic events.

A private service will be held for immediate family only.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum.

  1. Jim, You are the love of my life, A wonderful man and an amazing father. Words can’t express how much I will miss you and thank you for helping me raise Naomi. You treated her as your own with love, understanding and patience. She loves you so much. You both had your special bond together which was remarkable to see. I am forever grateful. You were always there for me as well, you were my best friend, my go to person. My heart aches, I will miss you forever and will never forget our life together. Rest In Peace my love… Becky
