Freda L. Hudspath, 101, of Ellwood City passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Concordia of Cranberry.
Born June 29, 1920 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Mary (McConnell) Spiker. She was married to Jacob A. Hudspath on October 15, 1954.
Freda was a graduate of New Castle High School. She was a member of the Ellport Community Church.
Survivors include daughter, Joyce (Joe) Smida of Ellwood City; son, Duane Hudspath of Winchester, VA; two granddaughters, Morgan Smida and Megan Smida both of Ellwood City; sister, Genevive Lydic of Indiana, PA.
Freda was preceded in death by her husband Jacob and 9 siblings.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.
Family and friends will also be received on Tuesday at the Marshall Funeral Home from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am. Pastor Tom Milnes of the Ellport Community Church will officiate.
Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.

I was so sad to see that Freda had passed. She was a WONDERFUL lady and I will never forget her.
I am very sorry for your loss. Freda was a neighbor of my grandparents, Joseph and Florence Messina, in Burnstown. My grandparents – and parents – always spoke very highly of Freda.
