Russell L. Clyde, 76

Russell L. Clyde, 76, of Ellwood City passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022
at Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford surrounded by his loving family.

Born October 23, 1945 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late John O.
and Winifred Peluso Clyde.  He was married to Susan Petrak Clyde.

Russell was a self employed excavator and contractor.  He was a member of
the Lillyville Church of God.  Russell enjoyed farming, sports, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Susan, of 56 years; two daughters, Beth (Tom)
Palm and Teresa (Matt) Bishop, both of Ellwood City; six grandchildren, Cody
Radevski, Nikki Reed, Carson Bishop, Tyson Bishop, Susann Bishop, and Isabella
Clyde Palm.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters,
Patty and Becky and brother Bill.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, January 9, 2022 from 1:00 pm until the
time of the funeral at 3:00 pm at the Lillyville Church of God.  Pastor
Dennis Arndt will officiate.

Interment will follow in Clyde Family Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lillyville Church of God, 408
Hickernell Rd, Ellwood City, PA 16117.

  1. Mrs Susan Clyde and family, you have my deepest condolences with the lose of such a great family member. Russ was a great friend and always will be remembered as someone who would always help you if you asked him. He will surely be remembered by many and forgotten by few. He was always a great husband and father because he always was there to help. His family was the core of his life. He never turned a friend down that needed help and he was a good friend. The days ahead are going to be tough but I hope that you and your family will have the strength to get through these dark days. May God bless you and your family.

    Susan, Sorry to hear your loss of Russ. Even though we knew each more in high school and in sports then after school life he was one of the good guys. He was lucky to have you as his husband and fried for 76 years.

    I know you will miss him but he is a better place and you will join him again in time.

  5. Susan and family, we ( Ken and Linda) were so sorry to hear of your loss of Russ. He was my neighbor when I was growing up and he used to chase us with tent worms! Haha. Sounds like him doesn’t it? Also he and Ken were classmates and friends at Riverside High School. Sorry we couldn’t attend the services for him as we both had Covid and were under quarantine. My prayers are with you that you will have

  6. Susan, you do not remember me. I grew up in Hardyville and was a childhood and longtme friend of Russ at Northsstar school and Riverside.
    I have many great memories of Russ, and I will miss him forever.

  7. We were so very sorry to hear of Russ’s passing. His smile was always a bright spot during Sunday services at Lillyville. And he was always willing to share a warm hug. May your memories of him help your family through this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

    We would like to send our sincere condolances to the entire family. Russ did work for us years ago and we would run into him over time when we were out and about, he was a wonderful person, always had a smile on his face. We know a lot of people will miss him.
