Shirley Ann Baird, 72, of North Sewickley Township passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at her residence.
Born July 4, 1949 in Beaver Falls, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Mary Jane Reynolds Bush. She was married to Charlie Baird until his passing on November 28, 2015.
Shirley first worked at her mothers restaurant “Janie’s Cafe”, then at the Ellwood City Knitting Mill for many years until they closed. She also cleaned many houses and offices. She never stopped working, and will be remembered by many for her kind gestures. She enjoyed coordinating bus trips to Amish Country in Sugarcreek Ohio and also to different casinos. Shirley was a member of the Ellwood City Saxon Club. She enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, cooking and baking.
Survivors include son, Billy (Stacey) Bush; sister, Betty (Gary) McKeough; brother, Glen Bush all of Ellwood City, and two granddaughters who were the lights of her life Lauren and Kelsey Bush.
She was also preceded in death by her brother Bill Bush.
Friends and family will be received on Wednesday at the Saxon Club in Ellwood City, January 5, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm with a Celebration of Life, Memorial Service, and Luncheon. Her long time friend, Pastor Don Snyder, will officiate the memorial service at 1:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family.
