Charles H. Werner, 79

Charles H. Werner, 79, of New Beaver Boro passed away following a brief illness on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Born July 4, 1942 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Walter C and Ruth V. (Herold) Werner.

Chuck owned and operated Werner Excavating and Trucking Company. He also worked and ran the family farm. Chuck was a member of the Moravia Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder and a Trustee for a number of years. He graduated from Mohawk High School in 1960 and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in New Castle. Charles was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Linda Belton Werner, two sons, Todd (Amy) Werner of West Virginia, Ryan (Kendra) Werner of New Galilee; daughter, Whitney (Jim) McAnlis of New Galilee; sister, Charlotte (Jim) Legge of Slippery Rock; and eleven grandchildren, Samantha, Zane, Kelton, Declan, Gearson, Eisen, Heinz, Lachlan, Makenzie, Charles Werner and Aislynn McAnlis.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas and Kevin Werner .

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday February 5, 2022 from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at noon at the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum. Pastor Charlene Kennedy will officiate.

Interment will follow in Mt. Jackson Presbyterian Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Moravia Presbyterian Church.
