Hildegard Donley, 90

Hildegard Donley, 90, of Ellwood City passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at The Grove At Harmony.

Born February 15, 1931 in Schonthal Czechoslovakia, she was the daughter of the late Whetzel and Maria Egerer Putz.

She married her husband Robert Donley Sr. on May 1, 1953 in Alchaffenburg Germany. Upon coming to the United States, they made their home in Ellwood City.

She worked for several years in the Cafeteria at Riverside High School and also did housekeeping for several families in Ellwood City. She enjoyed working in her yard, in her flower gardens, cutting grass, taking her little dog Benji for walks, and rides in the car. As one of Jehovas Witnesses, she enjoyed reading her bible and talking to people about Gods Kingdom.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathleen Restid of Chewton, Barbara Jean (George) Robles of Houston TX; son, Robert Donley, Jr. of Monaca; two grandsons, Michael Restid of Ellwood City and Anthony Rupert of Ascoda MI.

In addition to her parents and husband Robert Donley Sr. in 2011, she was preceded in death by her daughter Darlene Donley in 2016.

Per her wishes, no services will be held.

Arrangements entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home, Ellwood City.

  2. My family and I lived in Rustic Park, near your family when we children were quite young. I loved your mom…she was always full of joy and so very friendly.     Mom passed about 2 years ago. She was 92. It is devastating to lose a parent. You are in my thoughts and prayers as is your mom. I remember fondly all our good times as neighbors. God bless you

  4. Kathleen, Barb and Bob, so sorry to hear of your mom’s (Hilda) passing. I remember your mom well and please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers. I remember her at my mom’s house (Betty Cupac) and us at yours. All their coffee clutch gatherings and picnics. Those good times will always be with me and that’s how I will remember her, hope your do the same. She was a beautiful person, inside and out.
