Lana Jo Guthrie, 77, of Ellwood City passed away Thursday, July 28, 2022 at her residence following an 18 month courageous battle with cancer.
Born November 11, 1944 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Clarence C. and Mary Kauffman Hepler. She was married to Wayne L. Guthrie.
Lana was employed by the Ellwood City Ledger, Freeman Buick, Legend Buick, and ultimately was retired from AutoSoft where she was an assistant office manager. She was Protestant by faith. She was a member of the Night Owls Card Club, enjoyed reading, and was an avid traveler who had visited all 50 states as well as cruising internationally.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Wayne; son, Mike Guthrie of Ellwood City and sister in law, Jean Hepler of Dallas.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Ron Hepler and her sister Marsha McDowell.
Per her request, no services will be held.
Interment will take place in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
The family would like to thank Medevac Ambulance, Hillman Cancer Center of New Castle, Carpenters Project of Ellwood City, and the AHN Home Health Care and Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Lana.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Club Hope, 113 Collins Rd. Ellwood City or to the Ellwood City Library.

So sorry for your loss. I knew Lana Jo and you through my friendship with Marsha Jane. It must be 60+years now.
