Dale E. Young, 72

Dale E. Young, 72, of Ellwood City passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023 at UPMC Passavant.

Born November 16, 1950 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Russell A. and Ruth L. Linzey Young. He was married to Theresa Prinkey Young on January 4, 1980.

Dale had graduated from Lincoln High School. He worked for Koppel Steel in the Steelyard. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Dale also enjoyed traveling and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. His most cherished moments were spent with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Theresa; two sons, Andy (Sarah) and Kyle both of Ellwood City; grandson, Toren and three step grandchildren; sister, Ruth Stice; five brothers, Greg (Pat), Jerry (Linda), Dennis (Dale Anna), Ray (Amy), and Neil Young. Also, two sons from his previous marriage, Richard and Michael; grandson Ryan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Carol, Alice, and Audrey and three brothers, Merle, Ron, and Gary.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday March 4, 2023 from 5:00 pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 7:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Rev. Tod Custer will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.

  3. Anyone that knew Dale would know he was an awesome soul! So sorry to hear he passed. I worked with him at Koppel and he was one of the nicest guys there. You all have my prayers
