Robert D. Anderson, 64

Robert D. “Bob” Anderson, 64, of Edinburg passed away Sunday, May 28, 2023 at his residence following a lengthy courageous battle with brain cancer.

Born June 27, 1958 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Alan L. Sr. and Doris McConnell Anderson.

Bob had graduated from Vo-Tech in 1976. He worked as a field service technician for Burns Industrial Equipment and was the former owner of Anderson’s Lawn Service. He was a current member of the First Assembly of God Church in New Castle. Bob always kept busy and enjoyed working. Family vacations to Ocean City MD were his favorite. Above all, Bob adored his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years Tammy Sallmen Anderson; two sons, Robert D. (Kellie) Anderson Jr. of Neshannock and Michael (Kelly) Anderson of New Castle; daughter, Ashley Hamilton of Neshannock; three brothers, Alan L. Jr. of Atlanta, William (Alicia) of Hamilton, Ontario, and Fred (Jan) Anderson of New Castle; four grandchildren, Sidney, Morgan, and Eli Hamilton, and Sienna Anderson, and sister-in-law, Sue Anderson of Wampum.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ronald who passed in 2016.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday June 3, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the First Assembly of God 2021 Pulaski Rd New Castle, Pa. Bob’s cousin, Rev. Kevin McConnell will conduct the services.   1. Tammie you had one of kind friend, husband, father, Bobby loves you and the kids with all of his heart. You are why he woke up in the morning and went to bed at night. His love for you was unconditional, and I want you to remember to take one day at a time and remember, he’s in no more pain, Bobby is watching over you and the kids and the grandkids of course and he still loves you and you still love him and always will. Bobby, Michael and Ashley We love you guys if your mom or you guys need anything you know Aunt Kimmie and uncle Brian are here for you. We are here for anything even if you just want to talk. Remember your dad is in no more pain. He’s in heaven with your grandparents and his brother, Ronnie and uncle Nickie. and your cousin Crystal they are all watching down upon us and grandkids.
