Dora Bennett, 89

Dora Bennett, 89, of Wayne Township passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Cranberry Place following a brief illness.

Born August 20, 1933 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Cleo Miller Duff.

Dora enjoyed playing cards with her friends and family. She enjoyed time spent outdoors in her garden and watching baseball, especially the Braves.

Survivors include her loving husband John Bennett; three daughters, LuAnn (Rick) Lutz of Ellwood City, Debbie (Bob) Burry of New Castle, and Barb (Curt) Peffer of Fombell; son, John (Rhonda) Bennett of Beaver Falls; six grandchildren, Lisa (Greg) Barchetti, Lori (Adam) Newman, Amy Zajac, Andy ( Heidi) Burry, Chelsey (Dan) Yaromey, and Courtney (Josh) Bennett; eight great-grandchildren, Paige, Sydney, Brady, Justin, Ryan, Jon, Chassey, and River.

She was preceded in death by two brothers; Floyd and Glenn Duff and her sister Pearl Young.

A Private Funeral Service was held for the family.

Interment was in North Sewickley Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of the Cranberry Place for their warm and compassionate care of Dora.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home, Ellwood City.

    Our sincere sympathy to all of you in the loss of your Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother!
    We remember her well from the times we got together at Chelsea’s for Thanksgiving/Christmas dinner.
