Marlene Patterson 81, of New Beaver Borough, passed away Friday June 16, following a brief illness.
Born June 30, 1941 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Harry Morgan and Helen (Duff) Patterson.
Marlene graduated from Mohawk High School in 1959 and then graduated from New Castle Business School. After graduating, she worked several places until she started her own business Marlene Patterson Freight Agency and Mini Storage in Wampum in 1985. She was a member of Wampum United Methodist Church. She designed her own Christmas Cards, enjoyed planting flowers and yard work, and was an animal lover.
Survived by a brother, Jay (Nancy) Patterson of New Beaver Borough; sister-in-law Susan Patterson of Wampum; three nephews; three nieces; and great nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Morgan Edwin Patterson.
Friends will be received on Wednesday June 21, 2023 from 4:00 pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 6:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main St. Wampum. Her Pastor Dave Keppen will officiate.
Interment will be in Valley View Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wampum United Methodist Church.

Sorry to hear of Marlene’s passing. I knew her from driving for George and Dave McConahy. She was a wonderful person to be around and to work with. Always looked forward to her Christmas cards.
