Adell P. Lyons, 86, of First St. Ellport and Beverly Hills, Florida died on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at her residence following a short illness.

Born November 8, 1925 in Langdon, North Dakota, she was the daughter of the late Wendell and Rena Williamson Parker .

She was married for 44 years to Harky Lyons who passed away on April 16, 1990.

Adell worked at the Pentagon in 1945 as a proof reader for President Truman. She was a member of the Hernando United Methodist Church in Florida and attended Savannah United Methodist Church in Shenango Twp. She sang in the choir and was a member of the Women’s Circle. She enjoyed sewing and both vegetable and flower gardening.

Survivors include 4 daughters – Mary Flesher of Las Vegas, Nevada, Linda Froce of Beverly Hills, Florida, Elaine (Ken) Gebhardt of Ellwood City, Laurie (Doug) Harlan of New Galilee; son – Harry (Patricia) Lyons of Wampum, sister – Dixie (Lawrence) Buck of Minnesota; 2 brothers – Vernon Parker of Montana, Willis (Alta) Parker of Minnesota; numerous grandchildren and their spouses; great grandchildren and their spouses; and 2 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy R. Lyons and a granddaughter, Sabre Patterson .

Visiting hours will be held from 4-7 on Sunday March 11, 2012 at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum. Friends will also be received at the funeral home from noon until the time of the funeral service at 1 on Monday, March 12, 2012. Rev. Laura Skiva and Rev. Tyler Montgomery will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Clinton Cemetery.
