Albert A. Leo, 83, of Ellport passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at the Avalon Place following a brief illness.
Born May 31, 1939 in New Brighton, he was the son of the late William and Antionette Locareno Leo. He was married to Eleanor M. “Tootie” Leo for 49 years when she passed away on January 15, 2011.
Al was retired from the B&W in Koppel, where he worked as a millright-rigger. He was a member of the Divine Grace Parish (Holy Redeemer) in Ellwood City. He was a Captain of the Fire Police, a lifetime member of the Wurtemburg Perry Volunteer Fire Department serving for 35 years, and an Auxiliary Policemen in Ellwood City. He also volunteered with the Ellwood City Carpenter’s Project.
Survivors include daughter, Pam (Joe) MacDonald; son, Albert (Joan) Leo both of Ellport; two grandchildren; Misty (Stan) Piecuch of Ellport and Jared (Kelsey) MacDonald of Wurtemburg; great-granddaughter Kora Piecuch; sister, Helen Thull of Atlanta and a brother-in-law, Fred Kobbe of Shenango.
In addition to his parents and wife Tootie, Al was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Iorio and Rita Kroll, and a brother Bill Leo.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday April 15, 2023 from 4:00 pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 7:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Rev. Tod Custer the Fireman’s Chaplain will officiate.
Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
