Alice M. Cole

Alice M. Cole, 93, formerly of Cole Rd. (Wayne Twp.) passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter in Springfield, Ohio on Wednesday, August 15, 2018.

Born February 20, 1925 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late George and Ettie O. Bowden Hobel . She was married for 65 years to David W. Cole who passed away December 22, 2007.

Alice was a member of Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Ladies Association. She enjoyed sewing, reading, traveling and playing cards. Her most cherished time was spent with her family.

Survivors include a son and daughter in law, David. G. and Judy Cole of Emmaus, PA; a daughter and son in law, Donna Cole Dolbeer and Richard Dolbeer of Springfield, OH; four grandchildren and their spouses, David G.and Jennifer Cole Jr, Gregory S. and Julie Cole, Chad and Ellen Day Hennon, Cathie Hennon Lawson and Greg Lawson; and four great grandchildren, Abby, Adam, Justin, and Ryan.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Arthur, Clair, and Ralph Hobel, and two sisters, Helen Pitsch, and Shirley Michaels.

Friends will be received on Saturday, August 18 from 10 am until the time of the funeral service at 11 am at the Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church. Rev. Carolyn F. Moss will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home, Ellwood City.
