Althea P. “Red” Fazenbaker

Althea P “Red”. Fazenbaker, 89, of New Galilee passed away at Heritage Valley-Beaver following a brief illness.

Born December 29, 1930 in Westernport , MD, she was the daughter of the late Franklin G. and Lucy Mae Groves Green. She was married for 67 years to Donald F. Fazenbaker who passed away January 13, 2017.

Althea was a nurse’s aide at the Beaver Valley Geriatric Center for 29 years. She was a member of the West Pittsburg United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Donald F. Fazenbaker Jr. of New Galilee; daughter, Cathy Fazenbaker of Pittsburgh; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; four sisters and two brothers.

She was preceded in death by a son Michael A. Fazenbaker in 2006.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society.
