Anita Hunter

Anita Louise Hunter, 78, of New Beaver Borough passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024 at UPMC – Jameson Hospital.

Born October 18, 1945 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Ancell Louis and Della Mae Ruehl Leonard. She was married to Gerald B. Hunter.

Anita was a Veteran of both the Army and Navy serving during Vietnam. She was first employed as the parts manager for M&D Auto on Croton Ave., then she worked at Vital Records until her retirement. After her retirement she worked at Sparkle Market as a cashier.

Survivors include her husband of 32 years Gerald; daughter, Theresa (Bill) Coates of New Castle; son, Michael W. (Lisa) Nonnemacher of New Castle; two stepdaughters, Sondra Hunter Krosovic of Harmony and Sherry (Jeff) Buczek of New Castle; two stepsons, Brad and Terry Hunter both of New Castle; 16 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son Daniel V. Nonnemacher and two brothers, Perry and Dean Leonard.

Per her wishes, no services will be held.
