Annie M. Boyer, 89, of Wampum passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022 at her residence.
Born August 25, 1933 in Volant, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Thelma P. Douglas McConahy. She was married to Glen Ray Boyer on July 3, 1952.
Annie had graduated from the Eastbrook High School. She attended all of the Wampum Area Churches. Annie loved baking and held many bake sales and donated all the proceeds to help others. She loved her family and friends, and never met a stranger. She was known for her beautiful red hair, her homemade pepperoni rolls, and ham. Her buns were to die for. Annie had the best buns in town.
Survivors include three daughters; Diane (Nick) Gallo of Wampum, Nancy Leroy and her companion Mike Hunyady of Kennerdell, and Dora (Ken) Hemphill of Fort Pierce FL; three grandchildren, Nicole Gallo, Jimmy (Tara) Clark, and Candy (Timmy) Hostetler; 12 great grandchildren, and her sister Dorothy Bookbinder of Butler.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Glen; daughter, Sally Rae Clark; twin brother William; two sisters; and three brothers.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday September 13, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main Street Wampum.
Funeral Services will be held at the Marshall Funeral Home, on September 14, 2022 at 11:00 am. Rev. Elizabeth Wallace of the Wampum Presbyterian Church will officiate.
Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
