Anthony J. “Tony” Biega, 53, of Chewton passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at UPMC Passavant – McCandless following a short illness.
Born February 27, 1969 in Ellwood City, he was the son of John Biega Jr. and Gloria Biega. He was married to the late Jackie Biega for over 20 years, until she passed on June 19, 2021.
Tony had graduated from Lincoln High School in 1988. He served four years in the US Army, stationed at Fort Bragg in North Carolina. Tony was a construction worker and was proud of the many buildings that he worked on. He was a former member of the Chewton Fire Department, where he served as an Assistant Fire Chief. Tony loved sports, coached baseball, and played softball. He loved activities with his kids especially vacationing, camping, fishing, & motocross.
Survivors include his father, John Biega Jr.; mother Gloria Biega and step dad Tim Black; two sons, Brock and Blake Biega; daughter, Chelsea Hays; brother, Richard Biega; sister, Jane (Brian) Rhines; brother in law Robert (Nicole) Harker; Uncle Randy (Toni Jo) Woloszyn and kids; five nieces, Crystal & Clairissa Harker, Giovanna Biega, Emma Rhines and Katie (Dale) Conley; two nephews, Raymond Rhines and Colton Brognano; grandmother, Bernice Lohry and mother in law, Linda Harker; family friend Patty (Tony) Tollari.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jackie; son; Dray Harker; grandparents; John A. Sr. and Emma Biega; sister in law Grace Biega; Uncle Tim Finnigan; father in law Howard Harker; grandfather in law Clair Lohry; son in law Scott Hays.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday November 30, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main Street, Wampum.
Funeral Services will be held at the Marshall Funeral Home, on December 1, 2022 at 11:00 am. Military Honors will be observed.
