Arthur F. Wehman

Arthur F. Wehman, 88, of West Pittsburg (formerly of Ellwood City) passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at his residence.

Born November 14, 1932 in Wayne Township, he was the son of the late Arthur F. and Minnie Weisenstin Wehman. He was married to Martha Louden on May 26, 1956. They were married over 64 years.

Art graduated from Lincoln High School in 1950. Art was a veteran of the United States Navy. He served from 1951-1955 during the Korean Conflict. He was a life long member of the Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church, where he served on the session and as a deacon. He was the head of security at the Passavant Retirement Center and retired from US Steel in Ohio after 30 years. Art was an active member of the Veteran’s Honor Guard, VFW 8106 in New Galilee, and also the Wayne Township Fire Department. He attended over 1000 military funerals. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing.

Survivors include two sons, David (Beth) Wehman of Koppel, Bruce (Rhonda) Wehman of Richmond, VA; daughter, Elaine (Mike) Priscilla of Ellwood City; two sister in laws, Georgie Nagel, Eloise Wehman; one grandson, Colton (Amanda) Priscilla; four granddaughters, Meghan (Justin) Miller, Krystal (Henry) Freeman, Kim (Wes) Sanders, Celeste Wehman; seven great grandchildren; Gage and Bryce Miller, Chase and Eli Priscilla, Alex, Emma, and Sara Freeman.

He was preceded in death by three sisters; Marie Brown, Pauline Young, and Irene Cowden; two brothers; Lawrence and Warren Wehman; and a grandson, Keith Galat.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday February 13, 2021 from 2:00 pm to until the time of the funeral service at 4:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave, Ellwood City.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Children’s Hospital in PIttsburgh or the donor’s choice. .

The family would like to thank UPMC Family Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
