Barbara Z. Depietro

Barbara Z. DePietro, 68, of Shenango Township passed away Sunday, August 28, 2022 at her residence following a year long courageous battle with cancer.

Born August 17, 1954 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Ted and Shirley Fortney Zak. She was married to Mark F. DePietro Sr. when he passed on October 23, 2020.

Barbara graduated from Lawrence County Vo Tech in 1972 and then from the St. Francis Nursing School. After graduation, Barb worked as an RN at the Haven Convalescent Home for 41 years until her retirement. She enjoyed embroidering and cooking. She was a loving, caring woman, who always put her family and friends ahead of herself.

Survivors include son, Mark (Claudia) DePietro of Neshannock Twp; daughter, Amanda Andrews; granddaughter, Cloey Andrews; two sisters, Linda (Gary) Mayberry and Theodora (Carl) Stephenson all of Shenango Twp.

In addition to her parents and husband Mark, she was preceded in death by three sisters; Edith Zak, Joan Graham, and Shirley Milnes.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday September 1, 2022 from 2:00 pm until the time of the Blessing Service at 5:30 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main St. Wampum.

Interment will be in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
