Ben D. Tanchuk

Ben D. Tanchuk, 79, of Patterson Township passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Heritage Valley – Beaver following a short illness.

Born February 2, 1942 in New Brighton, he was the son of the late Joe and Virginia Wiltrout Tanchuk. He was married to Judy Elliott Tanchuk when she passed in November 2015.

Ben was the owner and operator of Falcon Gas Stations and then worked in Shippingport on barges. He enjoyed doing yard work and maintaining properties. Ben was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler and Pirate fan.

Survivors include son, Ben D. (Cheryl) Tanchuk Jr. of Brighton Township; two daughters, Tammy (Mike Barberio) Tanchuk of Wampum, and Crystal (Jasyn) Berardelli of New Brighton; sister, Marian (Charlie) Hollibaugh of Patterson Township; brother, Bob Tanchuk of Beaver Falls; 3 grandchildren, Searra Thumm, McKenzie Cashman, and Samara Berardelli; and a former son in law Christopher Cashman.

He was preceded in death by his brother David “Pete” Tanchuk.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday January 15, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main Street, Wampum.
