Bernice Duff, 97, of Export, PA., formerly of Enon Valley, PA passed away Sunday, May 26, 2013 at the Clare Bridge Personal Care Home following a short illness.
Mrs. Duff was born September 28, 1915 in Ambridge, PA, and was the daughter of the late Willard Gilkey and Lois Irene Gray Foster.
She was married to the late C. Edwin Duff for 55 years. Mr. Duff died April 5, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her brother, W. Gray Foster in 2002.
Survivors include two sons, W. Drew and wife Patty Bailey Duff of Haines City, Florida, E. Alan and wife Georgetta Myers Duff of Jeannette, PA; five granddaughters; eleven great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Duff belonged to the Mt. Jackson United Presbyterian Church for over 60 years but later in life attended the Enon Presbyterian Church as well as churches in Texas and Florida where she spent her winters. Mrs. Duff had many interests including reading, knitting, sewing, painting, antiques, arts and crafts and doing volunteer work. Her major interest though, centered on her family.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday June 1 from 12:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 1 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum. Rev. Tod Custer of the Christ Presbyterian Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Castleview Memorial Gardens, Wilmington Rd. New Castle.
