Betty J. Street, 85, of Chewton passed away Monday, December 28, 2015 at the Rochester Manor.

Born January 30, 1930 in East Palestine, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Lyman and Mary Jane VanKirk Schultz.

Mrs. Street retired from Conley’s Irish Pub where she was the head cook. She then worked at Little Joes in Beaver Falls for a few years. She was a member of the Chewton Christian Church. Betty was an accomplished cook and baker. She won over 70 ribbons from the Lawrence County Fair, three of them were blue ribbons for her apple pie. Her most cherished time was spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathy (Donald) Soisson of Beaver Falls; son, Norman (Sara) Kendall of Warner Robins, Georgia; three step sons, David (Norma) Street of New Castle, William Street of Portersville, Randy Street of Meadville; step daughter, Robin (John) Wilson of Pulaski; sister, Shirley (Tom) Wooley of Beaver Falls; brother, Jim Schultz of Enon Valley; six grandchildren, Chrissy Soisson, Ryan (Crystal) Soisson, Donnie (Janessa) Soisson, William Golicic, Susanne (Brent) Vasta, Kristy (Jeff) Rae Kendall Flowers; and three great grandchildren, David and Bryan Vasta and Jaiden Soisson.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Norman G. Kendall, and James C. Street, a daughter, Carol Golicic, five brothers, Fred, William, John, Robert, and Joseph Schultz; and three sisters, Edna, Jean and Margie.

Per Betty’s request, there will be no public visitation, Funeral services for Betty will be held on Wednesday, December 30 at 11 am at the Chewton Christian Church with her pastor, Rev. Gene Hydrick officiating. Interment will follow in Little Beaver Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Chewton Christian Church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum.
