Betty L. Koch, 89, of Locust Terrace , Ellwood City passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Heritage Valley – Beaver Hospital.
Born November 23, 1926 in Newport, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Geraldine Cook Boots. She was married to Wallace R. Carroll who passed away January 9, 1978. She then married Wallace L. Koch who survives. They have been married for 25 years..
Betty worked with Dr. Allen Struble for 30 years as his Assistant Podiatrist. She also worked as a May Kay Consultant for 21 years. She currently was a member of Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in Ellwood City. She was a former member of the First Assembly of God Church on Pulaski Rd., where she taught Bible School .She also taught Sunday School and was the Youth Leader at the Wurtemburg Presbyterian Church. In her spare time, Betty enjoyed golfing.
In addition to her husband, Wallace, survivors include four daughters, Jackie A. (Dick) Streckeisen of Ellwood City, Bonnie L. (Aaron) Stabryla of Ellwood City, Dawn (John) Contrucci of Erie, Cynthia R. (Dwayne) Martin of Winchester, VA; stepson, Harry (Debra) Koch of Pulaski; two step daughters, Cynthia Taylor of Niles, Ohio, Linda Layton of Florida; sister, Eileen Shearer of Wampum; two brothers, Donald Boots of Texas, Clarence Boots of New Castle; eight grandchildren, Donald Streckeisen, Jason (Angela) Streckeisen, Tara(Ron) Spiker, Carroll Bonfield,Rachel (Kevin) Carlson, Jennifer (Dwayne) Maynard, Emily (Aaron) Tinsman, Jeff (Bre) Martin; four step grandchildren, Scott and Mark Taylor, Jessie Houtz, Ashley Crawford; eleven great grandchildren; eight step great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wallace R. Carroll, and a grandson, Nate Layton.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday May 27 from 2-4 and 6-9 at the Marshall Funeral Home. 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Friends will also be received on Saturday at the First Assembly of God Church on Pulaski Rd. New Castle from 10 am until the time of the funeral service at 11 am with Pastor Chad Stoecker and Pastor Travis Richendrfer officiating.
Interment will follow in the Wurtemburg Cemetery
