Bill G. Cunningham

Bill G. Cunningham, 92, of New Castle passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Avalon Place after a short battle with cancer.

Born March 16, 1929 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Clarence and Ina Main Cunningham. He was married to Mary Lou Tillia Cunningham for 53 years. She died on March 1, 2003.

Bill graduated from Lincoln High School in 1947. He retired from U.S. Steel in Ellwood City and American Bridge in Ambridge after 32 years of service. He was a long time veteran of the Shenango Township VFD. Bill attended Riverview Church in Ellwood City.

Survivors include two sons, Gene and Donald (Kim) Cunningham both of New Castle; daughter, Barbara; sister, Carol Lombardo of New Castle; four grandchildren, six great granchildren, and a close friend Shirley Duff.

He was preceded in death by his wife, two brothers, Raymond and Bob Cunningham; and one sister Dorothy Hazen.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday April 19, 2021 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City.

Entombment will follow in Slippery Rock Mausoleum.
