Bruce Arthur Clark

Bruce Arthur Clark, 82, of Clark Rd., Enon Valley (Little Beaver Twp.) died on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at the Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born August 7, 1931 on the family homestead in Little Beaver Twp.,he was the son of the late Ellis and Anna Byers Clark .

Bruce was a lifelong farmer who co-owned Clark’s Dairy Farm with his three brothers until 1994. He was a self taught electrician and although his main farm responsibility was the milk bottling plant, he worked in all aspects of farming. He was a selfless volunteer. Bruce was a lifetime member of the Enon Valley Community Volunteer Fire Department, serving for more than 50 years and remained active until the time of his illness. He was the First Emergency Management Coordinator for Little Beaver Township and served for many years. Bruce showed his love for farming by continuing to assist with farm work well into his seventies and early eighties. He was a longtime member of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau and the Lawrence County Fire Chief’s Association.

Survivors include a son, Ed (Peggy) Clark of Enon Valley; two daughters, Connie (Mark) Smith of Ellwood City, Amy (Jeff) Redmond of Montpelier, VA; brother, Glenn E. Clark of South Carolina, two sisters, Helen (Walter) Yingling, Columbus, OH, Ruthanna (Luke) Bilas, Columbiana, OH; good friend, Nancy McClintock of Enon Valley; and seven grandchildren, Dustin and Stephanie Smith, Caleb and Rebecca Redmond, Christopher (Nicole) Rogers, and Dylan and Shane Clark.

He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Scott Clark; three brothers, Merle, Chester, and Delmar Clark; and two sisters, Aileen Gillam, and Grace Latherow.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday January 24, 2014 from 4-8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum. Members of the Enon Valley VFD will have a service at 7:30 pm. Friends will also be received on Saturday at the funeral home from 10 until the time of the funeral service at 11 am. Rev. Elizabeth Wallace of the Knox Presbyterian Church will officiate. Interment will follow in the Little Beaver Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the excellent care and rehab that Bruce received there.
