Caren L. Kennedy

Caren L. Kennedy, 74, of Wampum passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at UPMC Presbyterian following a very brief illness.

Born September 29, 1946 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Thomas W. and Betty J. Holler Cody. She was married to Melvin U. Kennedy on September 2, 1975. He survives.

Caren was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Chewton where she served as the Church Clerk and taught Sunday School. Her most cherished time was spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Michelle Borst of New Castle, Trisha Martino of Ellwood City; son, Douglas (Flor) Borst of Las Vegas; two granddaughters, Marissa and Amy Martino; one grandson, Cody Borst; two brothers, Thomas L. Cody of Ellwood City and Barry (Pam) Cody of Wampum.

A private funeral service was held at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main Street Wampum conducted by her Pastor Rev. Eric Board.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Interment followed in Clinton Cemetery.
