Carl Ray Parks, 66, of Ellwood City died Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at the Ellwood City Hospital Emergency Room.
Born May 12, 1948 in West Virginia, he was the son of the late Troy and Thelma Lowers Parks.
Carl was stationed in Germany while serving in the US Army from 1968-1970. Upon his return from active duty, Carl worked as various companies in the area including, Halstead, Universal Refractories, and for the Borough of Ellwood City. He enjoyed playing his guitar, playing softball, and shooting pool. He also enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include two daughters and son in laws, Elissa (Rodney) Tonks, Debbie (Rick) Rozzo; two granddaughters, Carley and Cassidy Tonks; one grandson, Zachary Rozzo; brother and sister in law, Eugene (Sandy) Parks; sister in law, Kathy Parks, all of Ellwood City; a sister, Wanda Dovidio of North Carolina; and a dear friend, Sandy Hardesty.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Parks was preceded in death by a brother, James Parks; a sister, Elizabeth Rudy; a brother in law, Frances Dovidio; and his long time companion, JoAnn Graham.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday June 7 from 11am until the time of the memorial service at 1 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Rev. Tod Custer of Christ Presbyterian Church will officiate.
